Bury the Past With a Wedding Ring Coffin
Now millions of divorced women and men have a proper, final resting place for their wedding rings.
Westfield, NJ, March 26, 2007 – The Wedding Ring Coffin is a new and innovative product now being offered by Jist Enterprises, LLC. The Wedding Ring Coffin has been designed to give the millions of divorced women and men an ideal, final resting place for their wedding rings.
When the marriage is over, what happens to the wedding ring?
Until now, millions of wedding rings have been banished to remote corners of sock and underwear drawers. The Wedding Ring Coffin is a perfect place to keep a wedding ring that will no longer be worn. Although it’s meant to be a humorous gift, the Wedding Ring Coffin also helps to bring closure to the relationship.
“After going through many emotional ups and downs during my
own divorce,” says company founder Jill, “I found it very
liberating to physically and symbolically close the lid on my
marriage and begin a new chapter in my life.”
Each Wedding Ring Coffin comes with a brass plaque engraved
with a message expressing one’s final thoughts on their
marriage. There are six messages to choose from, and there is
an option to create a personalized custom engraving.
The Wedding Ring Coffin is a finely crafted miniature coffin measuring 6 ¼” long x 2 ¼” high x 2 ¼” wide. It is made of solid wood and has a dark glossy mahogany finish. The interior is lined with black velvet and includes a ring insert to comfortably and securely hold a wedding ring. Four metal handles that match the brass plaque provide the finishing touch.
A split lid allows for either an open or closed casket. Each coffin is tastefully packaged in a quality gift box.

The Wedding Ring Coffin Story
”Once upon a time, there lived a young woman who was lucky enough to meet a man who she believed was her prince. They fell in love, got married, had a child and almost lived happily ever
after. But after 20 years of kissing her prince, the woman realized he was actually a frog!”
Our product was inspired by my own real life situation - a seemingly happy marriage that suddenly died after 20 years. Once I came to accept my new situation, I wondered what to do with all the mementos from the marriage. I immediately took down all the photographs that included “him” and stored them in a box along with the wedding album. But what would I do with
my wedding ring?
On the 23rd anniversary of the day I had met my husband, a dear friend
accompanied me to the very location where I had met him. I stood there, with hammer in hand, gave my marriage a proper eulogy, and then proceeded to flatten my wedding ring into a gold pancake. Now what would I do with it?
One day after attending a funeral, the idea suddenly hit
me. My wedding ring had a proper eulogy, now it deserved a proper resting place. The Wedding Ring Coffin! What better way to bury that ultimate symbol of a dead marriage?
